Thinking Day 2003
This event began in 1927 and provides an annual opportunity for Guides worldwide to remember each other by undertaking some form of special activity with an international bias. The purpose is to reaffirm commitment to international friendship and understanding. World Thinking Day is 22nd February, but since this coincides with half-term, we decided to celebrate this on one of our normal evenings during term time.
This year we chose to celebrate Thinking Day with a Chinese New Year Party with a Spanish flavour! As part of this activity, the guides performed the Las Ketchup song Asereje from Spain, played Chinese games and ate Chinese food! In addition, two new guides who had recently joined the unit took their 'Promise'.
