Petworth Park Camp, 3rd-5th May 2003

This year we planned two summer camps. The first of these was held at Petworth Park over the Mayday Bank Holiday. This is a district scout and guide activity camp and was attended by around 200 guides and scouts. We were part of the 'Yellow Submarine' sub-camp (together with Storrington & Sullington, and Ashington Scout troops). Despite clouds on the first morning (Saturday), the weather turned out to be brilliant with lots of warm sunshine

During the afternoon we did the sponsored Childrens Marathon Challenge in support of the Children with Leukaenia Charity. We raised over £500. Well done everyone!

Most of the organised activities took place on the Sunday. We were able to chose from a long list of activities which included:
Abseiling
Archery
'Blind' Trail
Canoeing
Crafts
Laser Clay Shooting
Rifle Shooting
Scaletrix
