Stedham Camp 2nd-4th June 2006

We joined with West Chiltington Guides for our second summer camp at Stedham near Midhurst. Like last year, the weather was absolutely stunning, and perhaps even a little bit hot!

We arrived on Friday evening where everyone was roped in to help erect tents. Later on we had a treasure hunt. On Saturday, we planned our own menus, then set off to the shops using maps and public footpaths. Because it was hot, and the shops were some distance away, an optional taxi service was provided. Some groups used the service entirely, some used it for the return trip and some used it to get half-way.

On our return, we set about preparing a planned meal. Menus ranged from healthy stir-fry meals, to fish fingers and garlic bread!

On Sunday, it was time to pitch camp and return home for a well-earned rest!
