2nd Storrington Guides Photos

Fall Fair: 20th September 2008

This was the fifth annual Fall Fair and yet again, we were blessed with sunshine and warm weather. Chris Evans, with help from other leaders and explorers built the abseil tower in the morning, then in the afternoon, the Guides and Brownies (some of them sponsored) were able to try it out.

We had many other new attractions as well, ranging from craft stalls, to a huge inflatable slide. Refreshments were provided in the form of homemade cakes (all of which sold!), and a barbecue. Teas, coffee and squashes all proved popular this year.

The abseil tower was as popular as ever, we had some experienced Guides (and leaders) showing what they could do, as well as some of the Brownies trying it for the first time.

Very many thanks to Chris Evans and his helpers who worked tirelessly all day on the abseil tower. We very much appreciate their help.
