Pulborough Brooks, 4th June 2008
We were dropped off at the RSPB site at Pulborough Brooks just a couple of miles away from the village for an evening of wildlife spotting and pond dipping
Staff were on hand to help us first find, and then identify animals we found. As you can see from the photos, we found plenty of life in the ponds, including newts. Around the ponds, we found adders and then on the walk down on to the brooks, we were able to watch deer.
At the end of the session, some of the leaders and girls used their navigation skills to walk back to the Guide Hall across the fields.
Many thanks to the staff at RSPB Pulborough Brooks for making this a very interesting and enjoyable evening.
