Chessington World of Adventures
23rd October 2011
On a cool sunny morning in Storrington, the peace and quiet of the village was briefly interrupted by 34 Girl Guides from Storrington and West Chiltington catching a coach to Chessington. We arrived at Chessington just as the park was opening and since it was Halloween, the park had some extra special spooky events and stayed open into the dark and scary evening.
We got ourselves into groups and were allowed to go wherever we wanted within the park. Our favourites were the log flume and the Monkey Swinger, both of which involved getting wet! Some of us (but not all) really liked the scary Rameses Revenge and the Vampire. After meeting up for a packed lunch, we again split into groups to explore further, trying different rides such as the Kobra, or going back to our favourites.
We again met up for a hot meal and then it went dark! That meant visits to the spooky Kyrpt and the bewitched Hocus Pocus Hall. The park closed at 8pm and our coach was the last to leave. A very long, hugely enjoyable and spooky day.
